On 5 and 6 February students from ISPA and INSA Lyon - Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon took part in two intense and inspiring days.
On the agenda: testing a new #SeriousGame, developed by Clémentine Devarenne, representative of the WhiteCycle project, and Emilie PARFAIT, project lead at ISPA. The objective? To immerse students at the very heart of Horizon Europe and France 2030 research projects, allowing them to experience the journey of project maturation, proposal building, and implementation, while keeping in mind the new expectations from funders regarding addressed needs, viability, and impact measurement.
Taking turns as evaluators assessing the robustness of projects and consortia, and as project leaders steering the ship toward success, they were able to grasp, as teams, structuring rules, and essential agility required to manage challenges and capitalize on key success factors. This fascinating co-construction process made it possible to illustrate all these aspects through the European project WhiteCycle .
A bridge between theory and the complex realities of the field that greatly enriched this serious game. Another bridge was built with the CAP3R project, within which this game creation takes place. A Horizon Europe project and a France 2030 project working in perfect cooperation! And the next objective? A face-to-face version with physical cards and hands-on tool, and one extra day added at the students’ request !
A huge thank you to them for their commitment and involvement.
