Sabanci opened a technology center in Germany

Sabanci, a leading figure in Turkish industry, unveiled a EUR 2.2 million Technology Center at the Technical University of Munich, a renowned institution with 18 Nobel Prize laureates. Cenk Alper, CEO of Sabanci Holding, noted their role in Turkey's industrialization and their expanding global influence under the Sabanci brand.

The collaboration integrates Sabanci into TUM's technology development framework, leveraging its esteemed academic environment. Subsidiaries Cimsa and Kordsa are positioned to foster innovation from TUM's campus, supported by Sabanci's commitment to R&D leadership through multiple centers. The Technology Center, Sabanci's European debut, signifies their dedication to innovation and collaboration, exemplified by partnerships like the Composite Technologies Center of Excellence with Kordsa. Alper highlighted the diverse talent and female leadership within the center, aiming to counter the underrepresentation of women in R&D.

Additionally, Enerjisa's involvement in the MIT Energy Initiative showcases diverse models of collaboration. Alper reaffirmed Sabanci's commitment to doubling investment rates over the next five years, with a focus on emerging sectors. Umut Zenar, CEO of Cimsa, emphasized their dedication to innovation-driven growth and synergy between R&D centers. Ibrahim Ozgur Yildirim, CEO of Kordsa, echoed Sabanci's global innovation strategy, particularly in Europe and tire reinforcement, showcasing their industry leadership.
