We are very proud of the progress made in recycling puffy jacket waste. Fiber frommulti-layer garment feedstock contain some non PET fibers and treatments, as wellas hard point that are more difficult to separate from these garments that mono-layerones. The consortium found solutions to coop with these issues and successfullydepolymerized, extracted the monomer and rebuild a polymer that has been used toproduce new yarn. We are pleased to inform you that both polymer and yarnproduction have been successfully achieved.
This first spool of yarn marks theculmination of significant work on theprevious stages and highlights theprogress made by all partners. Thisstep paves the way for production ofcord and new garments with the samequality as if produced with virgin PET.Stay tuned to follow our continuedprogress!
